In compliance with the requirements made by the Commission (peer review procedure) and as expressed in the contract signed with our consortium, in July 2002 two external and independent experts of international renown were hired to prepare two reviewing reports on the materials produced by the project until then. Namely, these experts in bibliometrics and scientometrics were Dr. Wolfgang Glänzel from Hungary and Dr. Michel Zitt from France.
